Il turbo IHI IS38 (9VA04) installato di serie su vetture turbo benzina quali Audi S3, Audi SQ2, Audi TTS, Seat Ateca, Seat Leon, Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Arteon, Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Passat è una turbina su cuscinetti che ben si presta ad elaborazioni con montaggio diretto (in gergo “Plug & Play”) sulle vetture sopracitate, oltre a rappresentare un valido upgrade per turbocompressori con prestazioni inferiori quali IHI IS20 e IHI IS12.
