SAITO was established in 1993 as authorized dealer of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries turbochargers. The connection with the Japanese company is actually longer and dates back to 1985 when the company owner, Mr. Stefano Gallo Perozzi joined the turbo division of Piaggio and later moved to Japan for a training period. In 1991, further to the break-up of the Piaggio-Mitsubishi joint venture, Gallo Perozzi became Technical and Commercial Manager for the Italian OE market, leading the Japanese company to becoming an approved supplier for Iveco, VM Motori, Lombardini and Fiat. SAITO’s main strength lies therefore in the deep technical knowledge gained in over 30 years of OEM activities under the guidance of primary turbo manufacturers such as Garrett, Piaggio and Mitsubishi turbo division.
Besides having been the sole dealer in Italy of Mitsubishi turbochargers for over 25 years, in April 2017 SAITO became distributor of Mahle (genuine turbochargers for the OEM), on November 1st of the same year of Garrett turbochargers and in May 2018 SAITO of Borg Warner KKK turbochargers.
The marketing of the four brands has made it possible to considerably widen the range of managed turbochargers – thanks to being now direct importers of more than 60% of the turbocargers on the market. This has allowed SAITO to become, both at a technical and commercial level in Italy, a benchmark in the world of supercharging, leading it to cooperate with the most important companies in the field of repair, trade and development of special projects. SAITO, together with its partner Sailog srl, has been trading since 1997 in cylinder heads, gaskets, camshafts and engines (complete, long- and short-blocks) both Japanese and Korean, always giving preference to the new and genuine products at very competitive prices. Today SAITO supplies over 8,000 companies spread all over Italy (islands included) and abroad achieving considerable efficiency in logistics thanks to a well-stocked warehouse and to the ability to deliver the product directly to its destination within approximately 24/48 hours from the order, thus preventing unnecessary waste of time.
SAITO’s staff is made of professionals, trained inside the company in their specific area of responsibility, technical, commercial, administrative, IT and logistics, all available to customers for a quick and efficient solution to any kind of problem.
