Smokeless, powerful and reactive Turbo kit for Land Rover Discovery!

SDT3WG is based on a genuine Mitsubishi TDO4L, a very sophisticated waste gate Turbo equipped with 360° thrust bearing able to support the pressure generated by a boost pressure of over 1.6 Bar without problems (The turbo is able to withstand over 2.0 bar of pressure). The casing is in HiSi (a high quality gray cast iron capable of withstanding high gas temperatures). The compressor is very efficient and generates high air flows with a moderate compressor outlet temperature. Mitsubishi turbines represent the maximum evolution in the world of supercharging thanks to the careful study of materials, the refined realization of the internal components and to the sophisticated aerodynamics.
SAITO’s SDT3WG Kit is supplied with an actuator calibration of 1.2 bar, thanks to which it is possible to obtain high power values (over 20% increase compared to the stock turbo) with high driving torque at low engine speeds. The greater mass of air processed by the compressor at low revs and the high efficiency of the component allow to anticipate the value of the driving torque of over 150 rpm (the advance in the driving torque is closely linked to the diesel pump reset) increasing car’s drivability especially in off-road tracks. The reactivity of the engine increases substantially and the loss of energy, with consequent need to change gear, occurs at a lower speed than the original.
Furthermore with SDT2WG it is possible to achieve a reduction in the specific fuel consumption (gr/CVh) and a drop in the combustion chamber temperature. SDT3WG’s performance are amazing. A smoky engine has unquestionably a fuel pump calibration trouble and high temperatures in the combustion chamber. The high mass of air processed by the SDT3WG allows the maintenance of a very low smokiness and high performance with a good calibration of the pump.
Please note: For a correct installation it is always necessary to flatten the flange of the exhaust manifold to which the turbo has to be connected to avoid gas leakage and loss of performance. The Diesel pump must be re-calibrated in order to introduce an adequate flow rate of gas oil, being careful to maintain a correct stoichiometric ratio. Before installation, insert oil into the inlet hole of the turbine lubrication system. It is recommended to replace the engine oil and the filter. The use of additives for oil is not recommended.
