The Mitsubishi 4D56 engine sees use in some vehicles, such as Pajero and L200. Being built by Hyundai in South Korea it is also fitted on Galloper 2.5, H1 and H100. The 4D56 is famous for its high resistance and durability. The extreme reliability and little maintenance required make it ideal for sports or more in general for off-road use. SAILOG, commercial partner of SAITO, was established in 2006 to meet the growing demand for spare parts for European and Asian light vehicles.
In particular, the model called AH22 includes:
– shortblock (crankshaft, pistons, piston rings and rods);
– complete cylinder head (springs, valves, rocker arms, camshaft);
– countershafts set;
– rocker cover
– distribution (water and oil pump);
– oil pan and dip-tube;
– injectors and injector pipes

We can say that today as never before life is movement. The engine is undoubtedly one of the most successful expressions to give man the possibility of moving around a world that is going faster and faster. From a strictly technical point of view, the first internal-combustion engine can be considered a set of components whose function is to convert a source of chemical energy into kinetic energy. We could venture a comparison by saying that the engine – like the human body – needs good functioning and perfect synchrony between its parts in order to guarantee maximum efficiency. The right care and maintenance are key to the best performance and prolonging the life of your engine.
SAILOG was founded in 2006 as a commercial partner of SAITO to meet the ever growing demand for spare parts for engines. Thanks to suppliers of the OE and the aftermarket, SAILOG is able to offer a

Wastegate Valves / Actuators
Allows turbochargers to run fast at low speeds, stabilizing the boost pressure- 1 March 2014

The waste gate valve was created to make the turbo run faster at low revs with a small size turbine housing, without reaching too high pressures at high rpm. In fact, a small turbine housing allows the turbo to spin sharply from the lower engine revs. Obviously when the engine expels a considerable amount of gas at the top, the narrow turbine housing becomes a bottleneck that prevents the engine from going up and down and at the same time, it makes the shaft wheel to rotate too hard. The problem is solved by providing the turbine housing with the waste gate valve, controlled by an actuator. The actuator feels the supercharging pressure through a tube connected to the compressor housing and it moves the waste gate plate opening an air inlet before the compressor wheel.
The gases and the power generated are sent directly to the evacuation so they are not released to the

The complete central body, also called “cartridge” or “coreassy” represents the central unit of the turbocharger. It is the moving part where the components interact dynamically taking energy from the exhaust gases and then transforming them into a rotation movement which will be used to suck and compress air inside the engine. All that increase the capacity of the power engine. Apparently, it seems a simple component but in the reality, it is incredibly sophisticated and complex. The most important features of a cartridge are those that can not be correctly perceived and evaluated by eye. The most important are the quality of the work surfaces, the materials, the construction and heat treatments tolerances. Until the cartridges were only original (genuine) there was no doubt about their quality but today there are many non-original products in the market whose quality is often unknown. The cartridges of the present-day turbochargers seem equal to those of the

The turbocharger is one of the most ingenious inventions in the automotive industry, able to harness a large quantity of energy that otherwise would be dissipated without any advantages. The heat engines (thermal engines) fascinate the man thanks to their powerful expression of energy but unfortunately take advantage of a small percentage converted into mechanical movement, while a considerable amount of thermal and kinetic energy is released into the environment without producing any type of useful work. The turbocharger placement in the exhaust system allows to recover a good part of the energy contained in the gases expelled following the explosion. This energy is then used to rotate the shaft wheel fitted with the compressor wheel which is able to suck air from the environment and to compress it inside the powder chamber. The increase of the air mass and therefore of the oxygen allows to burn a higher quantity of fuel which permit to
