SM140 VGT turbo kit for smoother and aggressive off-road driving!

SAITO has made SM140 VGT kit for Mitsubishi 2.5 liters 4d56 and 4d56t engines equipped with mechanical injection pump! The famous and emblazoned engine developed several years ago by Mitsubishi for Pajero, L200, Pajero Sport and Hyundai Galloper has shown excellent reliability, but like other engines from the 90’s has shown lack of power at low revs. The SM140 kit enhances engine response, greatly reducing turbolag and making off-road driving smoother and more aggressive. The quality of the product is guaranteed by the Saito’s over twenty years experience in the tuning world and by the new and genuine Garrett Turbocharger used for SM140. The kit offers an immediate turbo reaction at low rev, an advance in the driving torque, a power increase of 25-30% (depending on the setting of the diesel pump) and a reduction in specific consumption.

The need to get more power and torque from the engine makes it necessary to use turbochargers capable of working at higher compression ratios (up to 5:1), higher rotational speeds and high derived temperatures due to the effect of increased air compression. When the turbocharger is used in heavy duty applications – such as city buses, trucks for local deliveries, earth moving machines, sports cars and so on – it’s speed has great variations this strongly stresses the Turbocharger’s internal components, including the Compressor Wheel.

Due to the increased performance of both engines and turbochargers, Standard die-casted compressor wheels has reached the limit of their resistance and so – in order to increase Turbocharger reliability – a new production method has been developed, namely for mechanical processing, from the a special Aluminum bar. IHI 9F002 Turbocharger upgrade per IHI VF48

We present the IHI 9F002 turbine, a turbocharger developed for the Impreza WRX STI and other Subaru models equipped with the EJ25 and other popular engine models worldwide and in North America. The IHI 9F002 features an oversized compressor and high-performance aerodynamics, allowing it to deliver high torque at around 3000 RPM and a power output of approximately 360 horsepower (depending on the boost pressure and engine tuning). The IHI 9F002 improves the performance of Subaru Impreza WRX engines such as EJ20, EJ20E, EJ20G, EJ25, EJ25E, EJ25G, as well as other vehicles from the Japanese automaker, thanks to its use over the years on various cars with the same turbine-to-manifold and gas outlet flange connections. Garrett performance intercoolers and intercooler cores work together with the turbocharger as part of the total induction system. When air is compressed in the turbocharger it gains a lot of heat. Hot air is less dense and therefore is not able to produce as much energy because less can be fed into the engines cylinders. The job of the intercooler is to remove heat from the charge air making it more dense. The denser charge equals more air and fuel reaching the engine and that translates to more horsepower.
